Research Objectives
This project for the behavioral change 540 course was a one-month design challenge to address the issue of memory decline for older adults. I conducted research and created a prototype that aimed to provide effective interventions and solutions for this population and their caregivers. I also performed a usability test and evaluated how well my prototype solved my hypothesis. My solution was based on respecting the preferences, values, and goals of older adults and their caregivers, as well as enhancing their well-being and health outcomes, and increasing their satisfaction and quality of life.
Project 1 : Informative Poster for Memory Decline Research for older adults
Prior to embarking on our UI/UX design project, we conducted extensive research on cognitive decline among older adults. This crucial data-gathering phase involved analyzing various studies and reports to gain a comprehensive understanding of the issue at hand.
Armed with this valuable information, we then proceeded to develop an informative poster. Our aim was to effectively convey the problem statement regarding cognitive decline in older adults. The poster was meticulously designed to not only present the data clearly but also to resonate with our audience on a deeper level.
This poster served as a foundational tool for our subsequent UI/UX design work. It ensured that our design decisions were well-informed and directly addressed the challenges and needs identified through our research on cognitive decline. By grounding our project in solid research and clear communication, we set the stage for a design process that was both empathetic and effective.
